My 10 best-handling cars in #RR3

Note: This is just my opinion and is subjective. Just because a car’s G-force figure in the game is high doesn’t mean it handles well, and just because its figure is low doesn’t make it a pig. Also note that this is restricted to cars I’ve driven (about 140 out of 210). I drive with all assists off and Tilt B, so my handling experience may be different from yours.

10 - Ferrari Testarossa

Ferraris in RR3 have a reputation for being very slidey, and the same goes for classic cars. But somehow the Testarossa has decent cornering speed and is quite easy to control past the limit. It is very wide however, and it isn’t quick, so this is very much a “momentum” car.

9 - Porsche 918 RSR Concept

This is a very solid all-round car, and it’s quite forgiving to drive. It features in many different series, and its Gold price isn’t too expensive. The upgrades are also pretty cheap and it has an Exclusive series, so this is definitely one to fully-upgrade.

8 - BMW M3 GT2 ALMS

This racer is based on the E92 M3 and boasts very strong grip and predictable handling. It’s the top pick in several series, and it can be bought with just R$, as can all bar two upgrades.

7 - Mazda 787B

Of the three Group C racers, this car has the most grip and the best handling. You pay for it a little in speed however, and the car is very pricey. But when you have a rotary-powered 1991 Le Mans winner, it’s worth it.

6 - Ford GT (2017)

The grip stat appears mediocre at best next to the top hypercars, but don’t let this fool you. The GT grips very well and is easy to control at the limit - a huge contrast to the rather wayward 2005 GT.

5 - McLaren P1 GTR

The P1 GTR is grippy, easy to control despite its huge potential and amazingly fun to drive. Its handling inspires the confidence needed to take corners like Eau Rouge and 130R flat-out. With practice, you will be able to match F1 lap times!

4 - KTM X-Bow R

The X-bow has possibly the highest grip-to-speed ratio of any car in the game. Because it isn’t very quick, you’ll be able to take corners flat that you wouldn’t stand a chance at doing in any other car. It’s definitely a momentum car, doubly so when unserviced.

3 - Nissan Silvia R3 Spec

Ignore the grip stat here because it’s complete nonsense. Fully-upgraded it claims 1.6Gs, but it feels like 2+. Low-speed grip is incredible - it’s possible to complete an entire lap of Mt Panorama without falling below 95mph if you’re daring enough. It feels like a LMP1 car, just with less power. It also has its own Exclusive series.

2 - Audi R18 E-tron Quattro (2015)

Of the LMP cars I’ve driven, this has the most grip at 2.6Gs. It isn’t quite as stable on the limit as the 2014 919 Hybrid (a good car to start out with when farming at Le Mans), but it will take the corners significantly faster. Tertre Rouge can be taken flat at 205+ mph, and even the slowest corners at Le Mans are 100mph affairs. For low-speed handling, this is virtually unbeatable. As a bonus, the upgrades aren’t too expensive if you skip the final engine upgrade (which costs about as much as all the others put together).

1 - McLaren MP4-X

The ridiculous grip stat of 4.5Gs may only be available at high speeds due to downforce, but even slow corners can be taken as quickly as the R18 can do them as long as you don’t let it slide. When fully-upgraded, the first three Porsche Curves of Le Mans can be taken flat at over 250mph! Braking is also ridiculous - your braking distance will be half what it would be in a LMP car. Be warned however that once it slides, you have zero control until it chucks you into the nearest barrier at high speed. Definitely only for experienced drivers.

I hope you enjoyed reading this. If you have a different opinion, please share your own list in the comments!
