My V6 1998 Mitsubishi Colt
1998 Mitsubishi Colt. V6 swap with the FTO Mivec Manual engine. Done in a garage with some mates and a hammer.
Its not a looker but its rapid. Stock was ~800kg but has gone on a diet. Don’t want to weigh it or track it as its my daily and I enjoy driving it.
Built for driving pleasure not for show.
Stainless exhaust, crappy wheels, standard seats, power steering, No air con, Heaters have 1 speed. Suspension is shocking.
But its still awesome.

Yep, Twin pot on the front with larger discs and the rear im waiting for some 1989 Colt handbrake cables to convert them to disc brakes as well.
And so it fits!!! I was wondering if this was also a “bolt-on” swap, seeing how the 4g platform is pretty interchangable eg. 4g63 in almost any Mitsubishi with no cutting and factory parts. Damn, this makes me wish I had the money and mates who could help me do the same! Very well done!
Tbh it cost 1200 for the manual fto and 400 for the colt. The colt shell had 40k on it so was really good. In fact I have now sold the colt and have a 1994 Volvo 850 because the FTO started leaking oil from everywhere.
