What is your problem with the car community?

I don’t like that there are illegal meets in parking lots where all sorts of shenanigans occur, it is cool and all but it gives the car community a bad reputation, cars are impounded, people are arrested and police are also heavy disliked by the car community because of this. If we should do this we should do it in a controlled environment.

How people are so biased against SUVs and EVs. They automatically jump to conclusions without ever experiencing it for themselves. They just assume that it’s a piece of high riding shit while in reality some are pretty good like the Honda CR-V and Mazda CX-5

I agree, anything for that matter, for example, the GT2 RS is semi automatic COMPLAINTS INTENSIFY, but do you care? BRZ/86/FRS has 200 horsepower, but the Miata has 155 so what is your point? People are too stuck on certain things that need to stop, manuals are good but not every car needs a manual, or more horsepower or whatever.

I completely agree with you. Some suvs are rubbish yes but others are actually better than the normal cars they are based on.

They are. They are not proper off roaders or people carriers or city cars or good handling or cheap or really fast or safe or pretty. They are for people who have small dicks. Like those trucks in the US, but at least those are useful if you want to tow or carry things.

I agree that those illegal meetings do not help the car community reputation. Sometimes I feel like some people are considered criminals because they like cars… Not planning on going to those meetings in a near future…

The thing is that illegal meets arent bad, is the douchebags that make them look bad.
It’s like Bon Jovi’s song “You Give Love A Bad Name”.
There is always that one douchebag revving his Corsa or whatever and trying to do a burnout with all those mighty 60HP.
They always attract police, and police shuts down the meet, because one bad apple messed up everything with his douchebaggery.

Another thing is people not accepting different tuning styles.
For example people say that Makera01 goes “through a phase” because he likes late 90’s and early 00’s SpoCom tuning style and that he is a ricer.
People should go through the archives of Modified Magazine or Super Street and see what 90/00’s “ricer” had packing under the hood.
Their stock stanced “non-ricer” Clio will break down only by being in the wifi range when an article like that is being read.

You are basically Satan himself if you have a personal preference in tuning or if you dont worship “clean/stance” tuning.

I’m personally a fan of SpoCom. I’ve always liked that style because people were much more creative with their builds.
But im also a bigger fan of mix and matching cars.
Like, Eclipse 2G with the Dodge Avenger front looks absolutelly insane.

PS: i dont hate Corsa or Clio, they were just random examples because i went past those while writing this.

I hate how people can brutally hate on other people’s car taste. I mean for example, look at some of the comments on the Camberarri post where it isn’t painted. Now, there are good comments, but at the same time, there was someone who said “That looks terrible pls stop,” along with a few other people saying the same opinion. And I’m not talking about just extreme camber, I’m also talking about early 2000’s tuning, scissor doors, Donks (I personally don’t like them but there are people that do), etc. There’s just so much hate in the car community, and that bothers me. Opinions are fine, but having them to the point where you bash other people’s opinions turns opinions into hate.

What I don’t like is what’s happened to me many tines, cause I like wankels, alot, people say that they’re sh¡t, trying to ruin the engine for me. I try and respect their preference of cars, but they don’t respect mine, it’s really frustrating

I don’t like how some people who have realistic dream cars or dream cars that used to be cheap are always hating on people who dream about owning a supercar or hypercar. And people commonly say that it is a “generation thing”, and discourage all the younger car enthusiasts. People don’t understand that every generation can dream about supercars. Like, haven’t you met a millennial enthusiast that dreams of owning a Countach or Diablo? My dad was a child when the Muira came out, and since then it has been his dream car. Doesn’t mean that he just wants attention while he drives, he really likes everything about that car. (except the fact it blows up in flames)

I’ve literally had so many people shit on me for liking the Countach. They’re always like “There’s cars even from that era that are so much better” and I’m just like “I don’t give a f-ck. It’s what I like. Performance isn’t everything. Just bc it’s a supercar (for its time) doesn’t mean it’s going to beat every other car out there.

Nothing really. The cars are so varied that it creates many different views and subcultures and of naturally there will be some hate. It’s how human nature works.
As for the illegal car meet thing, I don’t say that it is really a problem. Isn’t that who we are? Doing stupid things with cars?
