Any one have any tips with tuning RX-7 in fh4? Like a good gear ratio, and suspension. New to tuning for drifting.

It’s hard to give set numbers to someone else, as tuning really needs to match the upgrades and driving style. Though I can tell you that reading the captions next each tuning section helps greatly, and that it’s almost always easier to test only one change at a time.

The best way to tune a drift car is to have a base setup. Just put the drift suspension, a race transmission and a 500hp V8 in the mazda and find a drift line to run a few times. I use the Horizon Festival Circuit for this. Try it as is and then add power and grip, change the balance and make it fit your style. I personally like my cars to wait for my inputs rather than to fight against the car all the time. Some want the rear end to break traction on its own for example. I use the handbrake.

Which one you prefer has to be tried. The RX-7 is a great base but the rotary will probably lack torque so you might find the drifting harder than it should be. You can work around it but the V8 is easier to learn with.

(Oh and lock the rear differential 100%)
