BeamNG.Drive Vehicle Bio #2- Gavril D-Series

The D-Series. The mighty truck that started it all. It’s quite amazing to see how much this experimental pickup has evolved into what it is today.

Does everyone remember when this game was experimental? When there was only one vehicle and a few places to crash? Well, this pickup was the one car. After all of this time, over 5 years, it has evolved so much. It has gotten more and more variants, not counting the extreme mod support. Yes, it is too, one of the most popular cars to mod.

This car is of course the default car until you change it, so I bet that I am not the only person who has randomly drove this for a while when starting up the game. Being the original vehicle, it has been tweaked more than any other car to have a perfect, realistic, and detailed design. When taking a random drive, I will notice that ALL models have decent speed for a truck, leaving a smile on your face when you drive.

Even with all of this, the D-Series has good off road capability. Even the base model I6 can complete the offroad course (in gridmap) with ease. Special versions like the ‘Pig’ or Off-Road can really haul * for a car of it’s age.

So, no matter what, do not underestimate this beast of truck because it’s 30 years old. Instead, just have fun driving the car that started it all.
