How can I fix the stuttering for Forza Horizon 4 on the PC?

I have 8gig ram and a gtx950. I have been told by other Forza players that it is my low levels of ram that is causing the game to stutter and freeze lots, however my PC friends who don’t play Forza say my graphics card is the issue. I thought here would be the best place to ask as I don’t know how to stop it.

Neither.

I’m a game dev and I optimize games. I build PCs. It’s your Hard Drive that causes stuttering. The game is a huge open world place ajd you really need an SSD to be able to enjoy it.

Maybe it could be the card?
FH4 didn’t run smoothly on my PC until I upgraded to a 970 4GB

It might be it’s something I will upgrade soon, going to try with the cheaper upgrades first.

3 main things:
-slow HDD
-slow RAM
-outdated/low end CPU

You could list your specs in the comments tho, so people could figure out more easly.

Use Intel Rapid Storage if you have it installed/is compatible with your PC, to see your HDD’s specs in the easiest way possible.
Then run DXDiag to see everything else.

I have an i5 and a HDD. Someone has mentioned that it’s the HDD slowing me down as Horizon is a big open world game. So far I have to reduce my resolution and the game looks like ass lol
