Chevy 454. You can get a modernized 454 from Chevy Performance crate engines that makes 600 hp and 600 ft lb of torque when shipped!

Ford 460. Specifically a 1971 Ford 460. In 71’ those were good for 365 horsepower out of the factory. Unfortunaley, in 1978, that was de-tuned to just 215 horsepower.
