Can anyone tell me why a Subaru wouldn't make the best police car?

turbo lag, now giving criminals everywhere false hope. But yea the only real downsides of subie police cars are the price and the fact that sneaking up on anything withing a 3 country radius would be impossible.

There was Subaru in the French highway patrol, they crashed 4/5 and then stepped down for Renault Megane RS

I’ve often wondered this as well. It seems like a H6 or turbo Legacy/Outback would be the ideal police car in snowy climates. Plenty of room inside, enough power to catch criminals, and AWD for where the Crown vic gets stuck.
