Does anyone know where the stance culture originated from? And then more importantly why?

I think it must have been the recession that caused it because it is a very cheap modification because you can literally lower it and then people respect it.

I think it is a mix dof American lowrider aplied in japanese cars and i think it sticken more in europe, espetialy in france just my opinion

Same as lowrider and hotrods

Visual mods took priority over preformance

In europe it came from making your car look like a rally version of itself

Evolved into real extreme tuning (what most of us consider rice these days)

Then it dialed down to OEM+

All those cars are purpose build… purpose is looks and only that (sadly for some best look = extreme camber and ridiculous tyrestrech)

I’m a stance guy… it’s difficult to explain why we like what we like… just want you to know the extreme camber/hellaflush scene is frouned upon by most stance guys
