Both the v6 (if its a 3.8) and the v8 are reliable, probably the most reliable engines on earth. You can get them with a tremec 5 speed and maybe a 6 speed in special editions? The firebird looks better and if I were to have one it would be a ‘94 firebird with a 5 speed because pop-up headlights. The non-popup v8 cars got an upgraded engine though. So overall strong, dependable, fun cars. Edit: I’m normally against muscle cars that have a v6 option but I would totally rock a 3.8 v6 94 firebird, seems more of a sports car vs. muscle.
I could not tell you anything about the v6 models, but the z28 and the trans am used an LT1 engine (the same as the c4 corvette with a more restrictive intake) This engine is extremely reliable, and not bad on gas either. It is also relatively easy to mod as well. Anyway they are all great cars. :) Good luck finding a car
Not a huge chevy fan, but their transmissions hold up pretty damn well. Only issue is adding power, some of their trans’s don’t like going over what it was designed for.
Well, I must say I ran against a Z28 with a manual, about 350 horses at flywheel, and I didn’t think it was that fast (Although YES, he beat me by the end of the 1/8th mile drag strip). It looks and sounds very cool though.
You mean this Camaro?
They’re great cars. Well built motors, and if you find one with the T56 6 speed, you’re in business. The weakness is the 10 bolt 7.625” rear. Once you start putting power down you need to strengthen that rear as much as possible. I have basically the same rear axle in my Firebird. It’s a great choice of car, but avoid the V6. You’d regret it :)
