Definitely clamps. If you have the right size, it should fit right in. Mufflers are one of the semi low maintenance mods that you can do at home.

Get 2 clamps one for front and back if the muffler exits you wanna support it. They make hangers that fit in the clamp then bolt it to the frame or wherever else available. Personally I’d at least get it tack welded so it doesn’t spin or droop.
I would love to weld it, but I don’t want to take it to a shop to save money.
Make sure the fit is right or there will be quite a bit of noise. Don’t know where exactly you are located, but autozone sells some pretty sturdy hangers and clamps that will do the job. I also agree that if at all possible, at least get it tacked. Muffler shops near me usully only charge about a $20 if you bring the muffler in. Hell I got 2 resonators taken offoff and replaced with pipe, a Magnaflow muffler (which they did discount), and a chrome tip for $140 out the door.
