If interms of arcade, wangan is more life like than initial D
But the story were both awesome!

How about both? But seriously wangan midnight anime is big letdown compared to the manga while initial d anime captures the mangas beauty.

I prefer Wangan because it shows how hard they work to get their cars perfect.
