Just played Dirt Rally. Does someone have a solution for the micro stutter every 4-5 seconds?
Benchmarks pass with an easy 100fps but while playing the game I always have these microstutters wich make the game unplayable. I’ve searched it on google and it is apparently a common problem with Codemasters games.

I’m having this too! It’s the reason I basically haven’t even touched the game for 2 months now. I am playing on laptop though, but I’m using lowest graphics, which give me average 35-40 fps. But the stutters ruin the gameplay,
Yeah it’s pretty unaccetable that lots of people have it. Back to Pcars and Assetto Corsa!
Everyone is not having the problem so it’s difficult to say before knowing what’s causing it.
only tip I can give is to make sure Vsync is turned off!
I tried that one already, also tried the replay solution where you put two read only files in the replay folder but nothing helps. I’m uninstalling the game again.
I had ribs problem, but it got so bad that the game ran at about 4-5fps on a machine where I can bench 80 at high. Look up the thread “potential stutter fix” on the codemaster’s forums. That’s what fixed it for me.
