Awesome new information. I really do enjoy the breakdowns. Makes it easy to understand and practical. Could you do one on the STi’s system as well?
Same, i love your videos man. Know i want to see the LSD comparison with the STI
I’m not sure, but isn’t the Imprezza a simple symmetrical AWD? I could be wrong, tho.
nice man. but what is better electric LSD, mechanic LSD or Viscous LSD
I’ve heard clutch type is the best because you can put shims in it to adjust the locking force
depends on which diff, for an awd car not as sophisticated, that would be running on a track, I think a clutch type for the rear, and TornSen types for the front¢er diffs.
Using gravel or snow modes while driving on tarmac….what benefits / negatives are there?
The system might be smart enough to figure it out, but basically it’s going to have too much lock in corners, and so either the tires will scrub or the clutch pack will slip.
and if any of the drive train breaks you mind as well buy a new car
That’s kind of true with any modern, and sophisticated stuff. If these modern diesels go wrong, you might as well throw them away, since it will be a fortune to repair them.
Thank you for this
4:20 : Maybe its just me because I am Studiing mechanical Engineering, and the correct use of words is not that important to the Community. But with a opened clutchpack the Evo wont send 50% of the POWER to Front/Rear. It splits the TORQUE in 50/50. The Rotationspeeds can be different. Just sayin….. Correct?
