Hello, most shampoos age very mild and will not damage or chip the paint, if that was the case you wouldn’t exactly use it on your head! Also it doesn’t really have as many “cutting” agents as a car shampoo and won’t really work that well.
It depends on how acidic or how basic the solution is. I’d look up the shampoo acidicy and compare it to dish soap or actual car cleaner.
Can’t be worse than dish soap. But why would you buy shampoo when car wash soap is cheaper?
