My winter tyre game isn't exactly on point here. I've just covered 100+ miles getting back to London from Oxfordshire in the pouring rain on my Nankang NS2R's...

…My advice to all drivers is whilst you can drive in the rain on semi-slick tyres, you absolutely and categorically should not.

the ns 2r is my daily tire (in summer). Before that i had Federal RSR. I also have a set of Toyo R888 for track use. I think it works well, but clearly is nothing for beginners. A good way to compensate is to adjust tire pressure.

I’m interested in these tyres but Nankang has a poor reputation in the Netherlands . How would you rate them? They are priced pretty well.

For the money, they’re honestly excellent. They heat up nicely in the dry and offer very consistent grip. I’m yet to have a full day of track day driving on them but am confident that they’ll hold up well.
