-MIND BLOWN-

Just kidding. I was hoping for some other way to do this or a joke, but it was how to actually adjust your throttle cable. Go figure.

I thought it’s going to be video about optimizing airflow throught airbox, intake manifold or maybe getting higher pressure in fuel system, but it’s just adjusting throttle cable… If someone can’t figure it out by themselves, they maybe should look for someone who will get them into simple car mechanics world.

Hey man, there are lots of things that can easily be overlooked as problems ESPECIALLY when dealing with older cars, I cant tell you how many friends ive seen go insane over a problem with their car only to find it was a grounding issue or a loose bolt, pointing out details like these are always helpful! glad someone pointed it out for me!

What if you have the Electric throttle pedal..?

Then you have to find a way to fiddle with the computer. I’ve not like throttle-by-wire/electronic throttle body (ETB) for some time (and apparently Mr. Regular is also showing his excitement for the old school in recent videos of the 2004 Si and the red S2000).

Electric can be more accurate and can be quite quick, but that’s if it’s tuned for that sort of thing. The engine computer can override your inputs… no fun. And you can’t simply stand outside the car opening your throttle with an ETB compared to the old cable-operated throttles.

well, then replace it for a cable

I needed this :) I was only opening to 2/3 throttle and I bodge’d it with a few cable ties at the pedal end… now I can un-bodge

Already did, when I put in a larger throttle body.

Awesome! So glad to have seen this video. seeing that my fun car is a 13 year old car, I will certainly need to check this out and see how the cable looks!
