2.0 tfsi coil pack conversion, the standard 1.8t coils are not hot enough. A decent tune also, as the vw spec motor has a downgrading ecu over the higher spec audi motors
It’s an excellent little engine and will run amazing for a long time if maintained properly. With just a few basic bolt ons and a tune it becomes an incredibly responsive engine with a ton of tourque. On my personal car I have an Intake, Turbo-Back Exhaust, 4 Bar Fuel Pressure Regulator, Diverter Valve, and Revo Technik Stage 2 Tune. Its a great canyon car setup . Biggest downfall of the 1.8T is the tiny K03 turbo which is great for tourque but runs out of puff in the high RPM’s. A Garrett GT28 will make a 1.8T a true monster.
