What do you guys reckon the power figure will be for the cars of the Japanese "gentlemen's agreement?"

Cars like Supra’s, Skyline’s, RX-7’s, Evo’s and Impreza’s are all capped at 280PS (~275BHP) because of the Gentlemen’s Agreement. So, if they abolished that rule, how much power do you think you’d those cars would come out of the factories with?

Think of it this way, 4 cylinder turbo from a evo, make the “same” power as a 6 cylinder twin turbo (supra and r34). Therefore significantly higher amounts power is possible, both the 2j and the rb are the strongest 6 cylinder blocks out of japan, if there was no “gentlemen’s agreement” they could possibly produce around 300-350 hp,

*They actually do produce 300-350 hp, sometimes much more.

idk why they even had this stupid “agreement” to begin with….like, hey lets all make different cars and max out at the same power outputs ( •_•)

It was to encourage making cars faster using means other than put a massive bloody engine in it.
