What do you think of this idea thing from Nissan with the X-trail
I saw this instrument cluster in the middle of a x-trail i get why they did it so they don’t have to change much when switching the driver side but i think it is a little dangerous to have it in the middle and be looking forward as well what do you guys think.

Its not all that bad IMO, I have driven one for some fairly long stretches and it works surprisingly well.
10/10 would crash again.
Toyota does this a lot, me and my mom went to Toyota (we were searching a new car for her). When i saw that the car had the instrument in the middle i was like “What the hell is this thing? Why would you put that there? It’s not usefull at all!”
My mom quietly agreed with me and the seller said “We put this here to allow the driver to see the road better”
To which i said “No, just no. Mom, let’s get outta here and go to Wolkswagen ok?”
Use it as an excuse to speed.
The Toyota Vios has one. Malaysia’s #1 Love-hate car.
I think its something to do with saving money converting from LHD and RHD so less dashboard needs to be changed
