Turns out there wasn’t one for me! Both summer and winter tires weighed exactly 25 lbs. I had my summer tires put back on today. Dunlop summers, Bridgestone WS80 winters. Both sets have 5,000 miles on them, so nearly even wear.
What size? 245/40R18?
I am considering that for my WRX. How do you think it drives as relevant to the tire size?
Yep, 245/40R18’s for both. The winter tires definitely feel a bit delayed in turning response on pavement (they’re much softer), but they’re incredible in the snow. Was driving around an icy parking lot with 3 trucks following, all of which slid around a corner in which the Bridgestones had no fuss. Very capable set.
