Which car makes you most sad because you'll probably never be able to afford it?

There comes a time in life (for me it’s 3-4 times a day) where you have an awful moment of realisation, that ‘the dream car’ is probably only ever going to be nothing more than a dream.

I love nothing more than a bit of ‘internet window shopping’ scrolling through the classified advert websites looking at cars I’d love to one day own. Every so often I stumble across something that makes me melt inside, something that triggers a desire of want so strong, that it’s almost uncomfortable.

This feeling is then usually followed up with a horrible sinking empty feeling. It’s that feeling backed up by the little voice in my head that says; "Realistically John, unless you win the lottery this isn’t ever going to happen, so tough luck, mate!" It’s horrible, it’s saddening and yet every day I put myself through the same dilemma.

For me, the 1995 Porsche 911 993 RS is exactly that. The one I’ve included as a screenshot above is a car that triggered that exact same horrible feeling just now.

I mean will you just look at it. It’s perfect, the colour is perfect, the wheels are perfect, the interior is perfect too, but yet it’s £225,000. Yep, two hundred and twenty-five thousand pounds. That’s more than $346,000(USD) or € 313,000(euros) a figure of money I’ll almost definitely never have to spend on a car. So I’m curious to know, which car does this for you?…

What car are you most struggling to come to terms with the fact you’ll probably never ever be able to afford?

Just in case you would like to see a little more of the car, it can be found by clicking here.

I have that feeling everyday with the E30 continuing to rise in value. Because Britain is idiotic I can’t just buy one in two years as my first car, I have to wait til I’m 25 because here we aren’t allowed a classic car until age 25. This also includes the mk1 mx5

Alpina B6 3.5S… Only 62 ever made. Having in mind what’s going on with the prices of normal E30 M3, I just keep hoping that one day I’ll have at least the chance to see one in person. And the other dream car - 4-door Hakosuka Skyline 2000 GT-R. Living in Eastern Europe makes it almost impossible.

Jaguar XFR. I love them dearly but they’ll never be down to a price where I can afford them.
