Which car makes you most sad because you'll probably never be able to afford it?

There comes a time in life (for me it’s 3-4 times a day) where you have an awful moment of realisation, that ‘the dream car’ is probably only ever going to be nothing more than a dream.

I love nothing more than a bit of ‘internet window shopping’ scrolling through the classified advert websites looking at cars I’d love to one day own. Every so often I stumble across something that makes me melt inside, something that triggers a desire of want so strong, that it’s almost uncomfortable.

This feeling is then usually followed up with a horrible sinking empty feeling. It’s that feeling backed up by the little voice in my head that says; "Realistically John, unless you win the lottery this isn’t ever going to happen, so tough luck, mate!" It’s horrible, it’s saddening and yet every day I put myself through the same dilemma.

For me, the 1995 Porsche 911 993 RS is exactly that. The one I’ve included as a screenshot above is a car that triggered that exact same horrible feeling just now.

I mean will you just look at it. It’s perfect, the colour is perfect, the wheels are perfect, the interior is perfect too, but yet it’s £225,000. Yep, two hundred and twenty-five thousand pounds. That’s more than $346,000(USD) or € 313,000(euros) a figure of money I’ll almost definitely never have to spend on a car. So I’m curious to know, which car does this for you?…

What car are you most struggling to come to terms with the fact you’ll probably never ever be able to afford?

Just in case you would like to see a little more of the car, it can be found by clicking here.

Ford Escort Cosworth RS, getting one to the states isn’t doable till 2017, and they know what they want for them.

Come to Canada, I’ve seen one. The guy told me he knows about 5 or 6 people that have them over here. Through the whole country. Rarer than a a Ferrari Enzo here i’m almost sure…

the car that makes me sad the most is… the Dodge Dart HEMI Superstock.

that black hood & the black front quarterpanels…

it’s a car that is so rare, i might never be able to buy one unless i grab a stock Dart & repaint & rebuild into a replica.

Litterally word for word name and all I know that exact feeling and have heard that same voice in my head. For me it’s been the Noble M600 (only supercar I’d happily pay for) and as I live in North America, the Mk2 Ford escourt, the Toyota 86 Trueno, the R34 or even R33 Russian skyline, are all cars I fear I will only ever get to dream of.

My dream car is Porsche 964 stock or turbo, I don’t care. All I need is black 964!

Yeah thats a big one. Any e30 m3. It’s just so expensive now I don’t think you could justify it unless it was part of a collection.

For me, that car is any of the Ford GTs, 1968 Ford Mustang GT500 KR, or a Aston Martin Vanquish
