Why Ricers aren't as bad as you might think.

I know. I’m gonna get a lot of interesting comments from this but hear me out. Ricing isn’t actually the worst thing to happen to cars sense the birth of them.

Because haven’t you ever wondered what that exhaust would look like on your car? Well a quick scroll through google and you might find a very similar one on a riced car. This is what I’m getting at, ricing.

It’s like beta testing. We may not do it but others do, they test things we wouldn’t on our own cars. They buy the things we wouldn’t.

I’ll say it like this. You may not like sushi. But you can at least ask your friend what it was like.

soo let’s say there is a special edition pagani huayra where only one has been built then you mod it by putting on a VERY wide body kit and big wheels to the point where you have to grind off the fenders.

Now that’s terrible. But it would still be interesting to see what that would look like.

I can’t stand a body kits that resembles a different car. But I do like seeing the mods people have to see what’s ricey or cool like you said.

That is actually an interesting point, “beta testing”. Too bad people tend to not read the article.

Ikr :(. And thank you. I’ve had a chance to really think about Ricers so this article basically sums up how I now feel about them.

Its like painting with only primary colours, in the end you’ll have a painting but it will be pretty basic and probably like it was done by a preschooler BUT with some blending and refining and practice, over time you’ll grow to realize theres better ways to create and better options out there. I appreciate your point of view but theres no saving that first monstrosity, doesn’t look too good for the second one either. haha

XD. Thank you, I’m not saying it looks good XD. But it’s nice to see what it all looks like together. In a sort of “worse of disaster” sort of way XD.

If your car makes you happy, that’s all you should care about. If you like the way your “ricer” looks, don’t change it because other people don’t.

Beta testing? No, not really. I’ve went and tested your theory. Googled “Magnaflow e34” and surprisingly it wasn’t riced. I then googled BMW M30 Turbonetics T60 and the result wasn’t riced. HOWEVER if I google “stupid huge wing on a bimmer” - result is rice. Why? Because my first two searches were properly expensive performance mods, and the last one was a ricer mod. Don’t tell me you can’t tell rice from proper mods just by looking at the bumper without it installed.

IF you treat this as a beta test, then you are a ricer yourself, you just don’t know it yet. Why? Well simply because you’re googling “Bomex civic” or a “fartcan neon”. Sorry, if you didn’t figure it’s rice as soon as you saw the kit and decided to google if it “looks good or not” then your taste will soon leave you riced anyways.

Bruh, this is carthrottle not 9gag, there’s no need for the negativity

I know what rice is. I know the difference. Some people on CT are really fastidious. Besides. You were specific “Magnaflow” you didn’t type “E34 exhaust”. There is a massive difference between being specific and just in general.
