You buy a Ferrari when you want to be somebody, a Lamborghini when you are somebody, an Aston when you don't have to prove anything, a Porsche when you really love driving, and a McLaren when you did the math and found out it is the fastest car.
Oddly enough, this tells a lot about the kind of people who drive these brands.
In general, anyway.
And an Alfa Romeo when you are a true petrolhead.
And you have a lot of free time and money …
True! I’ve seen a few McLarens and how great they must be to drive but they’re so underwhelming in person. It’s like seeing an R8. You just shrug.
I agree but I think it applies to non-petrolheads only. In my opinion a petrolhead buys a sports car for a reason or many well-justified reasons. A non-petrolhead does it for social reasons.
