Over a week ago (sorry about the re-he-heally late response) a few people asked us what Disklok actually does. Aside from making witty comments and brilliant gif posts on CT we actually do have products that we provide, and we are a very serious company when it comes to this!

General Mechanical Advice

Remember when you left elementary school and figured you’d never see a glue stick again? General Motors never got past second grade. A problem i’ve recently run into with my Camaro is with the sail panel, that chunk of roof between the hatch and T-Tops. Some humidity and 16 years of sun combined to create a mess for me, the paint was bubbling up and popping.

So, today I got a little bored and decided to do something about those ugly black steel rims. Because I already got white stickers on my car, the choice was easy - White steelies, red nuts and white tire lettering. After some initial problems with my jack, I managed to get my wheels off and repainted. Whole process took about 4 hours, because I can only get 1 wheel off at the same time. And the result is stunning, to be honest. It makes a huge difference to simply have another color on your rims than right about anyone else. A different angle

Before buying after-market angel eye or day running headlights, make sure you have a bit of knowledge of how to fit them or how much they’ll cost to fit before purchasing.

Hey guys ! Next year i will build my first drift car, but i do not know what car to buy. I need your help. I do not have many criterias, but here is a few. Max price of 4000 euro. Easy access for parts. Tunable engine(Meaning that i do not have to change a lot for the engines internals if i want to turbo it.) Not a 200SX(Or 1 180SX/240SX I have been looking at a e46 330i as a first car. But will it bee enough with around 225 bhp ? I have been thinking of turboing it, if so i would aim for 300-350 bhp, is that i good l place to start off ? #driftcar

In 1985 Chrysler’s performance division of the time, Direct Connection, was given one of the all-new Dodge Shadow’s to play with. The car featured larger brakes, an electric master cylinder, beefier suspension, lowring springs, quick ratio steering rack, minivan steering knuckles. The engine was Chrysler’s 2.2L Turbo I, but featured Direct Connection (DC) race ported head, DC intercooler, and a prototype header. Output was 180 bhp at 11 psi and 210 ft-lbs.

In the mid 1980s to late 1990s, there was a street racing team that gave life to Tokyo’s highways during the hours past midnight. There is little evidence of their existence with the exception of very few videos, photos and magazines that covered their activities. Despite the limited resources, they indeed existed. This particular racing team is known and remembered by a small minority of people who truly understand the history and original meaning behind “JDM” tuning culture. The team is known as the Midnight Club.

It’s hard to access the contents of the trunk when I put in the bass deck. I ran some steel cables up to the trunk lifts from some eye hooks screwed into the deck. There are light elastic bands that pull the cables into the trunk when they go slack.

Car Spotting

This is the Lobini H1, spotted today at Brasilia, Brazil (It’s the capitol city of Brazil), it is one of the few all brazilian cars that existed, and nowadays I think that he is the only one that exists. The H1 has a 1.8 Turbo VW Engine, that produces 180hp, and with the low weight (1025kg), it has a 0-100km/h time of 6sec and top speed of 218km/h. The unit on the picture is for sale, at a price of R$130.000 (34500 US Dollars), it’s a very expensive car, since it is 2013 and you can buy a lot of better cars for this price (like a new Golf GTI).

If you’ve stuck with me from the beginning (5 considerations before getting into Drifting) then thank you, and welcome to the post that I’m going to hope, you’ve all been waiting for. How to do the thing that actually looks like drifting. In theory when you try the techniques below, you will reap the benefits of the doughnut and figure of eight practice.
