Rotterdam is one of the largest city’s of The Netherlands and with large city’s come great pollution. So, they decided to take matter into their hands and they came up with a rule to ban petrol cars older than July 1st 1992 and diesel cars older than January 1st 2001. This means that all of the older, more fun, automobiles are prohibited from entering the city’s ‘environmental zone’ which is the center of the metropolis.

I’ve been wanting to write an article on here for so long and I finally decided to do it. So I’ll be showing you some of the most beautiful and interesting front end conversions I found on the interwebs. The majority of theses conversions are made on japanese vehicles mainly because the JDM cars seem to be subjects of front end swaps far more often than euro and american automobiles.

Al right guys. This is going to be my first long post here on CT. I am mexican, which means most of you will think about sombreros and burros (donkeys) and tacos and tequila; which most of it is true, only we don’t move around in donkeys.

The Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG has never been classed as a slouch in any stretch of the imagination. Ever since the W212 model first hit the market it has had over 500bhp from factory, first in a naturally aspirated 6.2 V8 guise and then from around 2012 it has been fitted with the M157 5.5 bi-turbo lump producing upto 557bhp.

In recent years, some car companies have drastically changed a lot. Not too long ago, Korean car companies were making cheap, poorly built economy cars. Don’t even get me started on Chinese cars.. Ehm, no thanks. I don't want a Korean aztek. These days, they truly make Toyota, Mazda, and even BMW somewhat scared of what they can do. The new Genesis brand from Hyundai looks to be an almost valid competitor to the Mercedes-Benz. Even Chinese car companies like Geely and Byd are making a splash in the car market!

The Lexus brand has always symbolized luxury, power and sophistication. Their lineup of sports sedans have always delivered the goods, whether you are a driving enthusiast or just appreciate a fine automobile. For those who live in a winter climate or simply enjoy all-weather stability, Lexus even offered AWD to keep you and your vehicle on the straight and narrow.

In the 1980’s Peugeot was, in terms of motorsports, on a bit of a roll. The Peugeot 205 T16 Group B rally car had done extremely well in the World Rally Championship. The 405 T16 dominated in Rally raids, like Dakar and Pikes Peak. And Peugeot also managed to build the fastest race car to ever lap Le Mans, the 1988 WM P88 Peugeot.

Some people expressed an interest in welding their cars but the whole subject may seem a little off putting. I thought a little post on choosing a welding machine and getting started will hopefully encourage people to get stuck in and have a go.

Hello once again, CTzens! This is the TurboCarl, and today, I will give you some valid reasons why I would like a K-car as my first vehicle in the future. Nowadays, with the more paved roads and the more chances of getting stuck in the freeway, it makes much sense that the car that you would want would be something that is value for money, or something small yet very spacious. And what else would better fit the description than a car that is small yet a bang for the buck? The answer there is the Kei car.

Courtesy of my friend at Niello BMW, yesterday, I get the chance to spend 10 hours with a BMW M3 Sport Evo. It was the best 10 hours that I’ve ever spent in my sub-30 years of living.

Before I begin, I wanted to keep a log of everything that I was going to do to this car as I did them. I figured what better way to do that than to share it with other people. I’ve dabbled doing videos with some buddies as we work on it as well, so if that is something that some of you would like to see, then definitely let me know.

As said by Jeremy Clarkson on the very first episode of Top Gear back in 2002, 0-60 times and top speeds don’t matter. I strongly disagree with that, because not everyone gets the chance to take cars on tracks, and are usually limited to highway pulls, or quick bursts of speed after a red light. Not to mention, pulling up to another sports car at a stop light can lead to a GTA V styled “impromptu” race, which is always cool to see.

In 1912, Giovanni Bertone founded Carrozzeria Bertone in Turin, Italy. The company’s main focus was automotive coachbuilding, design, and manufacturing. Giovanni struggled to keep the business alive during the wars and financial crises of the early 20th century, but in 1933, Giovanni’s son, Giuseppe “Nuccio” Bertone, began working for his father and quickly brought new life to the company.

Why are we inventing more and more new materials? One of the main engineers’ tasks is to get the best possible effects with the given budget. But what if it is no borders? I think that is the structural engineer’s wet dream: when your boss comes in and say “Guys, there are things more important than money in this world. Please, help me make the best car ever”.

A note on the 2007 Honda Odyssey start system: In the event you have a 2007 Honda Odyssey and your vehicle will not start, except it is not your starter or battery, it is likely a sensor on the gear selector. If faulty, the vehicle will display a yellow “D3” and won’t make a noise while trying to start. To test, while issue is happening, wiggle shift knob and try again. Vehicle should start as if no issue. This is because the sensor wont allow engine start until it detects you are in Park.
