How Has A Car Saved Your Life Or Helped You Out Of A Really Rough Patch?

By no means is my story as striking as the one in this video but I’ll share it anyway.

I’m on my first car at the moment and I’m loving every minute in the car. I bought it in late January on a Saturday and drove it back to uni on the Monday. By the early hours of Friday morning, my girlfriend of 2 and a half years had broken up with me. I drove through the night/morning to my friends house 3 hours away.

I was coming out of a pretty dark patch of my life at the time and this just threw me right back into it. Over the coming 6 weeks or so I was able to go places and see people I would have otherwise struggled to. Almost every night I went for a drive just to calm down and it really helped. My car was what facilitated my recovery and my friends and I always talk about how it couldn’t have come into my life at a better time.

Ever since I bought it I have been going on adventures and it has helped me no end.

I actually already thought about doing a video on this. In my household we never could get great cars, but the ones we had have always been the best cars in the world, to me. When I went to university I was driving my father’s old car, a 1999 3 cyl. Corsa. At the time I was being psychologically abused by girlfriend. One day I was so f**d up, I shouldn’t even have gotten on the wheel of a car. I was driving way too fast, redlining every gear, the engine and tires screaming for me to stop. The car took every corner barely gripping, but the fact is it couldn’t go fast enough for me to have a proper car. When I regained control of my senses, I realized I could have died that day, if it wasn’t for the car. Being passionate about cars has helped me through everything life threw at me: breakups, family problems, health complications, stress, overworking, etc. And then came the time when, I was involved in a car pile up and I lost my beloved Corolla Liftback. To most people it was a piece of junk, but to me it was that car I wanted since I was a child. The car took all the damage, though. I was fine, without a single scratch. Since then, I got a new old car, met great people at car meets and exhibits and I’m having the best experience making videos and car photos.

Cars have saved my life both literally and figuratively. When I was 18, I got into a terrible accident driving an S2K and my best friend who was in the car with me at the time passed away. The coming months after that accident were very, very dark for me. On many times I thought I wouldn’t be able to make anything of myself after this, that I didn’t deserve to. I had been given a second chance and my best friend just… didn’t. It was unfair and I hated that. But then I realized that whether or not I wanted things to go this way, they did. So now I began to realize that all I was doing is disappointing my friend. I lost my license from the accident, but I picked up a Honda Ruckus scooter and started modding that in the meantime until I could drive again. Now I have built a few scooters, and am working on making a career out of modding scooters, motorcycles, and cars eventually too. I hope that my love of vehicles, as well as my drive to succeed and, most importantly, my love for my best friend and desire to make him proud one day, will keep me going and help keep me motivated to keep making vehicles awesome!

Since 5 and discovering i had autism life was hell for me, my father talks about the day i became a petrolhead on the clio cup at 8 years old when we went down to the historic cars display,alpine a110 renault 5 turbo and the legendary rb26 of fernando alonso marked me since them i got fond of cars they became my passion and helped me overcome dificulties and inspired me to give my grain of sand to this world its not a big story but when i look way back in the past im glad i became a petrolhead

I was always into cars but i had always been an introvert who would only talk to a few close friends at all, when i got into the car scene i made a bunch of friends who shares the same passion as me.

I had a house fire back in 2012, I started putting all of my money and time into my Jeep. It helped with a severe about of depression.

My mom had blown up my Ford E-350 (I loved that big old creeper van,) my great grandma died, the house fire, and my step dad’s brother died (he helped inspire my car-centric life.) All this just 4 months after my step dad died I’d a heart attack. He became the inspiration for a Jeep sleeper, with all new rubbers, a supercharger, and some transmission work (starting with a 5 speed manual)

Althought I’m still young, being with a car is special. Ever since I was little, I always enjoyed spending my time being with my love ones always inside the car and, like what we would say it’s not about the destination but the journey. Even though I don’t have that many friends through the likings of cars, I still have founds friends who I made great memories with, specially with my friend named Ethan who used to live in California but now lives at Virginia, God we that was some memories! And the car is something that describes me like how you dress describe you. My love for cars will always be with me.

My Mitsubishi actually stopped me from committing suicide(sounds stupid now that I talk about it) but it really did as I could not handle the stress I faced all the time as I was friendless and pretty much left on the side of the street as I thought at the time I was a completely worthless meat bag as I could not live up to my Asian parents expectations and they were way too strict and would not shed a single dollar on anything for me when I was 13 onwards until i start getting A’s on every subject which never happened and I was forced to become a doctor against my wishes to pursue automotive restoration so yeah it was hard being uncared about and that’s where the cordia came around I was saving cash for a vehicle that spoke to me ever since I was 6 when I first discovered classic cars from playing midnight club 3(I have huge respect for that game) and I’ve accumulated 5000 bucks and took a loan when I had a job for it. It really helped me through tough times and thus I will keep that car forever
