About 15 years ago my uncle took me out to a friends place in a small town call Matamata (yes the same place as the Lord of the Rings in NZ). While we were there dropping off a lawnmower his friend showed me what was parked in his garage…. The last De Tomatso Panterra built by Carroll Shelby. This guy had actually built it with Mr Shelby and was able to keep it when he left to come back to NZ. Took me for a quick ride around the small township. Unfortunately I didn’t have a camera to take a photo but I still drive past the house when I’m out there to see if it’s still around.
