Where are the most expensive places to buy used cars?
Many of you were surprised by the video when I said that a 2002 Boxster S costs around £5000 to buy in the UK.

ok let’s see… i’m in Portugal and the cheapest prices on the biggest used car website are:
986 boxter s: 16,500€ (14,630£)
2007 (no post 2009 listed) RX-8: 3.500€ (3,000£)
Honda Type R ep3: 14,950€ (13,255£)
Mk1 Mazda MX-5: 6,750€ (5,985£)

There’s no Boxstee S for sale
There isn’t any generation of RX Mazdas, except for an import RX-7 that the owner put a horrible custom body kit and is selling for around $20k
There are almost no Honda Civics, and those that are here are completely riced out and sold for more than $10k
Only 1 Mazda MX-5, import, 2015, sold for more than $25k
No Honda S2000s
No E46 BMW 330cis for sale
In general cars are really expensive, unless you buy Chinese brands or the cheapest models from international car brands, which still don’t come down from at least $13k
Also, the minimum wage is $375 and the maximum wage $6000. Ecuador.
To top it off, being a country where the car community is really small, cars are treated like crap, there’s no good aftermarket parts, and most fun cars are just imported as automatics at really high prices (around $100k).
