I really think that Denmark have to be the most expensive country to buy a car, new or used.
We have a ridiculous high registration fee on new cars, and because of the high fee, used car is expensive too.
If you have any questions about used/new cars prizes in Denmark, feel free to contact me

Hi, I live in Norway, our car prices are ridicoulus,
Porsche Boxter S: The cheapest one I found was 159k
Mazda RX-8: We dont have the 2009 one, but I found a 2004 for 149k
Honda Civic Type R: Didnt find any EP3, but I found a Type R from 2008: 169k
Mazda MX-5 MK1: Found 1 for sale at 46k
Honda S2000: 201k
BMW E46 330ci: The cheapest one I found was a Cabrio for 106k

The currency is in Norwegian Kroner (NKR), Which is ca. 1/10 of a british pund.
To make these ridicoulus prices fair, a new Honda i30N start at 510k with the performance pack.
A new Polo start at 193k.
The worst though, is that a new BMW M4 start at 1 043 000 kr..
Also maybe the only place on earth that a Ford Mustang GT cost more then an M4 at 1 120 000 kr.

Prices in € new second hand lowest second hand highest
986 gen Boxster S 75539 7699 23450
post 2009 RX-8 post 2009 never sold in NL
Honda Civic Type R EP3 (2001-2005) 28385 3750 6950
Mk1 Mazda MX-5 23435 800 13950
Honda S2000 47895 9500 (prob. con-price to low. One up 16900) 26750
E46 BMW 330ci 48200 4500 25950
Ford Mustang GT 5.0 V8 (2015) 112110 69950 84950
Lotus Elise S2 1.8L (LHD) 58387 34345 (honda engine) 74340

…Ford Mustang is not a typo! Mustang Convertible GT 5.0 V8 before options is a wopping €126110.

Used sites autoweek.nl and gaspedaal.nl to get prices. When selecting new always picked the least expensive without any options. These are prices in The Netherlands and in Euro’s (€ 1 = $ 1.20289).

Note on Lotus Elise and Ford Mustang pricing:
We have a tax called BPM (CO2) and this makes fuel efficient cars cheaper. But…when exporting you can request this tax back from the government, making the newest second hand Dutch fuel efficient cars very attractive for export (please come and buy them!). On the other hand: it makes older cars (that are not Fuel efficient) very attractive for import. Basically the Dutch Government is helping our surrounding countries hitting their CO2 targets with our tax money!
