10 Awesome Garages That'll Give You 'Man Cave' Envy

While most of us make do with a dingy garage that's barely any wider than our car, some people go all out and turn their garages into an incredible car storage palace

Jack Olsen works as a Hollywood screenwriter, and during the Writer’s Guild strike in 2007 he suddenly found himself with a lot of spare time. He decided to overhaul his garage for just $3200 with little experience, proving that the garage of your dreams really isn’t that difficult to get.

Skip to the three minute mark to see this beauty in action. According to the owner, it’s “basically an aircraft carrier elevator”. It’s incredibly accurate, using computers to ensure it raises perfectly straight, and uses an incredible $25 of electricity every time it’s used!

Problem A: Everyone who wants a “living-room-garage” seems to not think about one thing:
A car coming right off the street, especially in fall/winter, usually isn’t clean.
And seriously, do you want something wet, probably muddy in your living-room?
Problem B: Too big a garage leads to a lot of cars (usually), which usually means that the cars are not driven that much anymore.
Which is why a smaller garage can be better.

Problem B is a problem only for the people who can’t afford many cars though. I don’t know about you but if I make it or win the lottery I’m buying loads of cars

I want the TVR Factory to be my garage. But I would rather revive the factory than own it myself
