This 10.6-Litre, Twin-V8 Acura RSX Is A Jaw-Dropping 1700hp Project
Squeezing one LS4 V8 into the front end of an Acura RSX was a big job for Ryan Standke, and two years ago he managed it. Impressive enough on its own, but he didn’t stop there.
This ordinary guy with a YouTube channel to document his progress has fitted a second LS4 V8 and mated transmission over the rear axle. These two 5.3-litre rocks of American muscle have then been turbocharged and tuned to within an inch of their lives, with an expected total output of 1700-1750bhp. At the wheels.
While Standke doesn’t really tell us much about the general specs of the car, he does mention that he’s fitted brake upgrades front and rear. Oh good. The tyres are slicks over 15-inch wheels. Drivetrain sync between the two V8s will be taken care of by an electronic drive-by-wire setup.
Next up, a new fuel tank right at the back is going to get a second set of draw and return lines to cope with the massive demand for juice when this thing is at full chat. Then the Garrett turbo at the front will be ditched so that both engines can move to HX82 turbos – vast blowers that will be tough to install but apparently give extra flexibility with reliable tuning.
Standke isn’t loaded, like a lot of the more successful YouTubers, and his staggering project’s progress depends largely on how much cash he can bring in. We know we’re not alone in wishing him swift financial success so he can finish what he started.

I was about to comment a “Will this fit in my Honda?” meme but this car itself is a Honda meme.
I know this is gonna get massively down voted but….
Acura is the American name for Honda….
Edit, Acura is the luxury brand of Honda sold in the USA, thanks Oliver!
This is not okay.
I was not prepared for this kind of sorcery
Why tf are so downvoted so much lol. I’m pretty sure you meant what you said in a good way right??
This is the kind of LS swap i can support
I agree
I think I am completely blown away, I wanna see performance from this brute!
I’m with ya. I wanna see smoky 4 wheel burnouts and then see what it can do on the strip
But does it have VTEC?
What in tarnation
Howdy
LmAo if only CT could put this much effort in to fixing the website!!!!!!1! 😎😎😎😎😎 #cargysriseup #savect #ctbad #ctbad
#makCTGREATAGAIN!
ohh fugg 👀 10 liter v8 is pretty epic… but its not ls7! 😤 everything should be built to my strange, specific specifications or else ill get veru veryy angery! !
I honestly don’t see the point of that car. It’s not really a showcar, because the guy doesn’t really have the means to actually make it a showcar, but it’s not something you actually can use either anywhere. I very much doubt this is going to be even close to road-legal, and there’s not much interest on a track either, since you’re getting a lot of weight added on a chassis that was clearly not designed for it. That’s not talking about the fact that this is probably going to be everything but fun to drive, as the rear engine is going to make deafening noise (I don’t think there’s going to be much isolation), and it’s probably going to be extremely hot in there as well.
No really, the only point I could find to it would be about being a showcar, but that’s something requiring a lot of money and a lot of time, as well as a lot of finitions done to it in order to get it to look a minimum well made. And I doubt the guy behind this is going to make this look finished. It’s going to end up looking like a cheap General Mayhem.
I think that the point was to build an awd light drag car. Also by using 2 engines he doesn’t have to invest as much money as it would if he had 1 engine tuned to those 1700hp.
Ok, to convert from wheel hp to crank hp, you have to take the amount of whp and multiply it by 1.3. So if you were to take 1750whp, this car’s output and multiply it by 1.3, you get 2,275 crank hp. Damn
But since these are basically transverse mounted fwd engines, the drivetrain loss would only be 10-15% meaning that the crank hp would be around 2000hp
