I have an 07 rx8 and even though all that he said is true its not as bad as you’d think just as long as you know what you’re doing

What’s wrong with the world when it’s frowned upon for cars to do this……

But isn’t Mazda bringing the rotory back as sky active in their concept?

It’s a racecar. If you want fuel mileage, don’t buy it. The rotory engines first use was literally only as an engine for racecars. Aaaand they compared a 1.3 litre na. To a 2 litre Turbo, and a 6.2 litre. What have we said about comparing litres?

very nice video :)
except at the end you compare a 2011 rx8 (so basically an n/a engine from 2003) with a turbocharged 2litre from 2015? mherr?
wouln’t a E46 330 (231hp) much better?
still a nice video though

The last point is incorrect because he’s comparing a 2011 RX8 with a 2015 GLA and a 2015 Chevy Stingray. Those two cars were made 3 years after the RX8. Newer car obviously have a greater fuel economy. If you want to compare the fuel economy of a car take the cars from the same year.

2001 GTI gets 33% better fuel economy. Is that fair?

Emissions is the only real reason it may die completely, but I’ll bet someone will figure it out.
Cost of running it and emissions are something a petrol head isn’t really going to care too much about if he particularly wants the benefits of a rotary.
