Ignore all of this if you drive a Porsche with a PDK. Drive it like a racecar, that’s what it was built for.
I live in Colombia, Bogotá. Weather here ranges from 63 to 60 degrees and there is no snow. In my example of the C63 when I drive it, I always try to down shift to 1st without stepping on the throttle aggressively to start. And yes, on my mom’s X3 (F25), when in manual mode it does go all the way down to 1st when standing still . But anyways, I just hope this thing isn’t causing any damage to the C63 nor the E90 gearbox :)
Can I just ask, with the Tucson, is it as comfortable to drive as the Santa Fe Sport?
So, a dual clutch is not an automatic transmission… This world is getting more complicated every damm day :S
Next video will be: “5 Things You Should Never Do In A Continiously Variable Transmission Vehicle”
Number 1: Don’t drive a vehicle with a CVT… :D
Especially after watching this, I’ll stick to an automatic for daily and manual for fun. (My daily is a truck)
The VW DSG works in the opposite way on downshifts. When you press the accelerator enough, it recognises that a downshift may be the next gear and prepares a nice smooth shift.
1 thing you shoukd never do in a DCT vehicle: decide to buy it. Lol
Ok ok i kid i kid, its whatever floats your boat. But seriously, give a shift and buy stick ;)
I’m gonna be that guy and point out that the thumbnail is from a GT86 which does not have a dual clutch transmission.
Buys eco car with dual clutch…drives super aggressively. Constaintly wonders why needs brakes and trans repair.
