8 Obscenely Cool Cars You'll Find At SEMA 2015
1. Toyota Tundrasine
The world doesn’t really need a stretched Tundra pickup, but Toyota made one anyway. Because why the hell not? Based on a 5.7-litre V8-powered Tundra, this creation is eight metres long, and has a six-metre wheelbase.
This Ford Model A hot rod is a sweet ride, but it’s arguably the air-bagged Ford C750 truck that carries it which steals the show.

3. Ford Mustang Cobra Jet
With the COPO Camaro also saying hello to the world, the ‘Stang Cobra Jet isn’t the only factory drag racer at this year’s SEMA show, but our poll so far shows the Ford is the one you’d have if you were loaded enough to buy either. You can read more about it here.
Quite possibly the best-named car at SEMA 2015, Rusty is the work of Mike Burroughs of Stance Works fame. It’s been hidden away for four years, and emerged this week looking more outrageous than ever.
Originally based on a four-door BMW E28 (the body of which now resides on a tubular chassis), it’s been transformed into a two door, preposterously wide and boxy brute over the last two years. It’s powered by a race-spec S38 straight-six.
Head over to Stance Works for more images and details of this bonkers machine.
5. Roush Mustang TrakPak
We’re suckers for cars with bonkers aero devices, so naturally Roush’s latest ‘TrakPak’ for the current Mustang appeals to us greatly. It’s powerful too: according to Roush, it’s good for 850bhp.
Details as to how it pumps out so much power from its modified 5.0-litre Coyote V8 have yet to be fully revealed, but we know much of the grunt comes courtesy of a 2.3-litre supercharger.
The BMW i8 is already a rather visually arresting machine, but that hasn’t stopped tuners from attempting to turn it into something even more striking. That’s what James McDonnell has set out to do with his i8, which now sports air suspension and a set of 21-inch Rotiform CBU rims.
7. Dodge Challenger GT AWD Concept
Like the idea of a Dodge Challenger but live somewhere frequently besieged by crap weather? Here’s something Fiat Chrysler - or more specifically, Mopar - brought along to SEMA which might interest you.
Dubbed the GT AWD, it’s - as you probably gathered - an all-wheel drive version of Dodge’s usually rear-driven muscle car. Sure, the idea of a muscle car that won’t let you leave thick, black 11s on the tarmac might seem sacrilegious, but as Mopar points out, this is a "year-round muscle car that lets you have your cake and eat it too." Appealing, no?
It’s powered by a 5.7-litre V8 producing 450bhp, and is finished off nicely with a wide body kit, 20-inch wheels and ‘Destroyer Grey’ paint. Sadly it’s just a concept, but you never know.
8. Mazda MX-5 Speedster
Mazda may have brought two concepts to SEMA, but it’s the roof-less, windscreen-less Speedster which steals our hearts. It sticks to the Mazda MX-5’s low power, low weight ethos, taken to the extreme with a floaty weight figure of just 943kg.
