'Accident-Prone Hosts' Mean The Grand Tour Tent Will Travel No More

'Accident-Prone Hosts' Mean The Grand Tour Tent Will Travel No More

With Hammond almost meeting his maker for a second time, and Clarkson’s recent pneumonia diagnosis which nearly killed him, you can bet that the guys will have reevaluated a few things. One thing will undoubtedly be how much time they spend not travelling which, before now, would have weighed in favour of the exact opposite; nine different countries and one spectacular tent will do that…

That’s why the show’s bosses have announced that the tent will be fixed in one location for the second series, namely in the Cotswolds.

According to Executive Producer, Andy Wilman, “We’ll keep the studio in one place, and given how accident prone they are at the minute, that can only be a good thing! (…) “Given their sore joints, struggling lungs and combined age of 158, the studio tent has been given a new home in a charming location in the Cotswolds.” Wilman also assures fans that the trio will be doing more adventure-based features, something that we’re all excited to hear.

If they could also ensure the death of the boring ‘celebrity brain crash’ and ‘The American’ segments, then I’ve no doubt we’ll all be watching keenly. Speaking of, who here actually watched the first series?

In the USA all you need is a standard car, no one can steal it because they’re all too bothered to learn it!!

Unpopular opinion incoming;:::TBH i like the “celebrity brain crash” and “the American” segements they offer a small break while we enjoy the stupidity the 3 have to offer. TGT is great but New Top Gear is better (as a car based show that is)

Although i dont care which is better im just glad that in Spring/ Summer we have top gear and in Autumn (fall) and Winter we have the grand tour. which means car based content all year around

I liked celebrity brain crash because I always found talking with the celebrities boring. It features them in a funny way, James plants his funny line, and it moves on leaving more screen time for the stuff I personally care about, some of the american jokes were good, but he just isn’t the stig.
