The Bentley Continental GT Is Now Pikes Peak's Fastest Production Car
It may weigh over two tonnes and be crammed full of posh wood and leather, but the Bentley Continental GT is a handy thing in the dynamics department. Want some evidence? It just ran the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in 10:18.488, a new production car record.
Bentley fielded Rhys Millen for the effort, who was able to smash the former production record of 10:26.9, set by David Donner in a Porsche 911 Turbo S in 2015.
The Continental GT in question was in factory spec, save for a roll cage, a fire extinguisher system and a race seat with a six-point harness. The W12-powered waft machine ran as #100 in reference to 2019 being Bentley’s centenary.
It’s not Crewe’s first headline-grabbing assault on the hill climb - which involves 156 corners and a climb of 5000 feet. Last year, it sent Millen drove a Bentayga at the ‘Race to the Clouds’, nabbing the production SUV record after completing the course in 10:49.9 - two minutes faster than the previous holder.

Oh wait…well done Ladies and Gentleman!
Jolly good show, old boy!
Congrats to everyone at Bentley that made that record possible, now go back and defend it!
Thats very surprising tbh, i never thought a boat of a car like that could do it, well done Bentley
Yeah I saw the article and I was like wtf a BENTLEY got the record? Damn that’s pretty surprising
hopefully other companies don’t try to take away the pride of being the fastest here as well with records like ‘fastest car with a brown interior and 500 grams of white stiching’ and stick to ‘fastest production car’
World’s fastest production car that wears an Alfa Romeo badge
Bentley, I love you!
fat girls need love too
This is indeed the world’s smallest violin!
Wow didn’t think it’d be nearly thst fast. But I imagine there must surely be faster cars out there. Perhaps something light with a lot of boost
fast, but so ugly though…..
Wow
That is not the car I would’ve expected to take the production car record
