Car Mechanic Simulator 2015 takes players through a virtual tour of the daily life of a mechanic. What started as a rather simple simulator has morphed into a more complex game from the feedback of its own players. As soon as last year’s edition of the game rolled in, players from all over the world started giving their opinions of how the game should work. From then until now, we have picked up some nice features like the car parts online store, track testing info, the ability to sell used parts, new vehicle classes, new difficulties in jobs and custom body parts.

CMS 2015 is available on Steam as a base game with the option to download additional packs, or as the all-inclusive Gold Edition. Here’s a brief look at the DLC packs that are currently available:

  • Youngtimer: inspired by the Fiat 126, this new car comes with nearly 100 new parts to toy with.
  • Visual Tuning: 200 new body mods are included to give your existing cars some new pizazz.
  • Trader Pack: classic cars and parts that can be bought, sold or put together to build a masterpiece.
  • Pickup & SUV: answering the popular community request, new parts and cars arrive to fill your 4x4 cravings.

Check out the community reviews this simulator has received so far (over 95 per cent positive) on Steam, and be a part of the feedback that guides future development.

After adding the test tracks and receiving much praise, the developers have decided to move forward with a project they have been brainstorming for a long time: the 1/4-mile. Coming in late December, the 1/4-mile pack will include chip tuning, more mechanical tuning options, a dyno test centre, three new cars and (you guessed it) 1/4-mile races.

For those of you who have already got in on the action, you may have noticed the new track mods available. This comes in response to many requests to do more with the finished cars. The previous title, Car Mechanic Simulator 2014, was all about servicing cars to make money. Everyone agreed that a true mechanic would be spending their earnings on used cars and parts to build more and flip them for profit. What else was lacking in the prior edition? The ability to test the finished cars…and now it’s here. Not only do we have test tracks, but we can change them to suit our needs.

The work on CMS 2015 never stops. There is even more juicy content planned for the future, but we can’t give away the details just yet. In addition to the several existing brand partnerships, there will be an announcement of two new cars coming from a luxury car manufacturer. This will be the biggest and most exciting partnership to date. The manufacturer’s name is on the CMS 2015 official site. See if you can guess which cars may be coming soon.

To celebrate CMS 2015 hitting over 250,000 downloads, and because the developers are amped about the upcoming DLC, they’ve decided to give away 20 Car Mechanic Simulator 2015 Gold Edition Steam keys to CTzens. If you want to get your hands on a key, just leave a comment telling us why you are the ultimate car mechanic!

We will pick 20 winners at random and will contact you via the email address that’s linked to your CT account. In case you’re not feeling lucky, you can still pick up a copy of the game through Steam at a fair price. The publisher has applied a 55 per cent off sale until Monday, 2nd November.

Good luck virtual mechanics!
