That moment when the co-pilot said “Five right tightens sharp MAYBE” I decided that rally drivers are just crazy.

Heard the “maybe” very often… Have no idea what they would mean by that.
It’s like “should i make that turn, or just floor it and go straight ahead?”

i just imagined how totally nuts that would be if that was group b rally, and damn those flashing cameras must be annoiyng

Night rally stages are like the bonus stages in Super Mario. If you got brass balls and a co-driver with a cool head, consider the entire rally in the bag.

Petrifying, i love it.

Don’t mean to sound disrespective or boasting but I actually find it easier to rally(if you can call hooning on dirt roads rallying) because I only see what the headlights illuminate thus there’s no chance of anything from the environment distracting me, however I’m fairly sure I’d be scared sh*tless in Evans’ car.

I feel the same way. In fact I’ve tested it. In my sh*tbox wee Starlet, I’m much more comfortable with 100 km/h+ on the gravel at night than I am in daytime. In fact in daytime I haven’t actually hit 100 km/h… whereas at night I’ve hit 105ish km/h. I know it doesn’t sound that fast, but my car isn’t capable of much more, in both power and handling. I’ve hit 90km/h in the snow with no problems at night, but the next day I spun out at 70….

Not exactly scientific, but it’s how I feel.

What did the driver say to the co-driver?
At 10:10 he says “hold on”, so the co-driver says “sorry”, i understood that.
But at 15:20-25 it was just before some jumps. He says something like “get off that”??
What does he mean?
