This Fire-Breathing F40 Sticks Two Fingers Up At Garage Queens
The Ferrari F40 was the ultimate performance car of the late 80s. Its 2.9-litre twin-turbocharged motor chucks out 471hp, which doesn't sound like a huge amount by today's standards, but with only 1100kg to push it certainly moves.
Except for the fact that these days most F40s tend not to move. Instead they're parked up in the garages of the super rich, collecting dust. But not this one. This one gets to visit Monza, spit fire and make grown adults squeal with delight.
Fitted with a Tubi exhaust, the noise is just incredible. It sounds like a dragon gargling ball bearings, and inside the lack of any sound-proofing makes for an intense experience. And then there's the flames that spit forth from the triple exit exhaust on the overrun.
If all F40 owners used their cars like this, the world would be a happier, noisier place.
