This Jag Pickup Is The Prettiest Load-Lugger You Can't Buy
Jaguar recently revealed the C-X17, its crossover concept, which aims to bring the F-Type's stunning design language to the SUV market. It's a polarising car, with Jag purists weeping over their keyboards when the first images were released.
In this age of austerity, it's important for manufacturers to understand the needs of its customers. The Jag will always sell in the UK thanks to its strong brand image, and well-off Americans will no doubt lap up the luxury interior and flash styling. But how do you convince a burly lumberjack that this stunning Brit is the ride for him? Adapt.
This is the C-T17 Concept by automotive manipulator Theophilus Chin. The front works brilliantly, with the butch lines appropriately aggressive. The only let down is the stubby bed, which gives the C-T17 odd proportions, while the lack of any flourishes to the bed's styling somehow make the rear lights look boring.
Delete the rear seats, extend the bed and tidy up the rear and we reckon Chin's on to a winner.
