Forza Motorsport 7 Looks Absolutely Incredible In 4K Gameplay Footage
A major strength of the Forza franchise has always been stunning graphics and realistic visuals, but that looks to have been taken to all-new and uber-beautiful levels with Forza Motorsport 7.
FM7 was officially announced at E3 last weekend, with the spectacular Porsche 911 GT2 RS being revealed as its cover star and a release date of 3 October confirmed for Xbox One and Windows 10.
It’s been built from the ground up for the new Xbox One X, though, and it’ll hit shelves in early November for the console being called the “world’s most powerful.” Because of the Xbox One X’s power boost, Forza 7 is able to run in 4K at 60 frames per second. Oof.
Gameplay footage in 4K has now been released, via The Verge, showing-off razor-sharp graphics, super-detailed visuals and the much-talked-about new dynamic weather system.
So, sit back, relax and enjoy five minutes of amazing gameplay from FM7 as a Nissan GT-R (of course) is raced around the Nurburgring (obviously).

Love how the volumetric fog lit by lightning, and water sprites being flown by wind.
I am a Gran Turismo fanboy, GT3 was the first racing game I played… But actually, I might switch to Forza… These graphics are incredible! And by the time Gran Turismo Sport is finally released we will probably already have Forza 8…
Think I’m in the same boat as you. Plus as usual by the time the GT actually comes out, we’ll probably have the next generations of consoles due out and once again it will become obsolete, at least in graphics terms..
While the rattling wiper blade adds realism I’m not so sure it’s the thing I’ve always been looking for…
Graphics mean nothing to nobody. If phisics are garbage it’s a bad game, if phisics are great, the game is great. It’s as simple as that
This guy knows what he’s talking about. :)
If it is anything like Forza 6, the actual driving aspect is very enjoyable.
At around 3:37 the video was giving a tiny taste of the open lobby.
It looks beautiful but one thing I don’t quite understand… it starts in the dry, so can presume cars are on slicks. He continues racing in what looks like a thunderstorm without changing the tires… how?
Try doing this in Project Cars you’ll end in the barrier immediately
I assume that they have predicted the weather and started on wets….
Project CARS is not really that good of an example.
I don’t think it looks good. In fact I think is some areas it looks worse than last one. And they still have not made any actual improvements. Driving dynamics suck. I’ll stick to project cars.
“Driving dynamics suck” : Hasn’t played game.
Looks so good
Am i the only one wondering why they choosed to put a gt500 gtr alonside gte/gt3 cars ?
With the crappy driving in this video it looks like they had an AI driving so they probably needed to put it in a faster car than the field to make sure it overtakes everyone to include multiple cars in the demonstration.
I’ve got to say - impressed wit the little touches. Turbulent spray, spoliers vibrating with downforce, tyres flexing. It’s what FM is good at. Sounds good too.
Cockpit view still looks sub-par though!
Sadly the gameplay will stay sub-standard
