Im from the Philippines and here there is an issue with the Montero Sport (infact I even own one), its having a SUDDEN UNINTENDED ACCELERATION. And this idiot sent this video to a TV Station and ripped the first part where he was struggling to park his SUV.

Have you experienced this supposed flaw in your Pajero Sport? From what I’ve read, they concluded that there is no fault in these cars. I dont own one but I am concerned when parked next to these cars.

These Pajero Sport things are rumored to suffer from uncontrolled acceleration (models in the Philippines at least). It is being investigated as we speak as too many people have already been victims.

I own a Montero (Pajero) Sport for 7 years already. I never had any problems. Most, if not all Monteros with supposedly sudden acceleration are located in one area only. I saw two videos of the so called phenomenon and in both cases, where the drivers said they stepped on the brakes, the brake lights never came on. I actually experienced this with my 2002 Pajero Fieldmaster where I stepped on the brakes and the car sped up. That’s when I realized I was stepping on the accelerator pedal. It was very quick though because I was trying to park. The car probably moved only about 10meters when I realized what was happening.

This is true because traffic rules aren’t strictly enforced, not many of the people on the road are keen, and in some cases, not legal at all

A broken rotary engine

In the Philippines,Monteros have the problem of sudden “acceleration”.Almost 100 monteros had the same problem.
