Harrowing Spectator Video Of Horrific Daytona 500 Crash

New spectator footage of the horrific Daytona 500 crash has emerged online

This raw footage - shot by a spectator in the spectator stand - shows the moment when Kyle Larson's car rocketed into the air, plowed into the track's barrier at high speed and showered fans with missile-like debris, injuring 33 fans.

The crash - which took place on the final lap of Saturday's Drive 4 COPD 300 race - was instigated by race leader Regan Smith who tried to stop Brad Keselowski overtaking him. The defensive manoeuvre triggered a race car pile up, with rookie driver Larson's car being launched high into the air.

Despite the shocking crash, there were no fatalities, although seven people remain in a a stable condition in hospital. The race was re-run yesterday with five-time Nascar champion Jimmie Johnson taking the victory.

Below is the footage taken from ESPN's coverage.
