This Has To Be One Of The Biggest Jump Starts In Motorsport History

Richard Mork started on pole position for the second V8 Utes race at Phillip Island last weekend but suffered a huge jump start. It was so big he had a lead of five seconds by the first lap!

Unsurprisingly, after gaining such an advantage, the stewards felt a five-second penalty wasn’t enough and he was handed a drive-through penalty.

Mork explained the jump start in a post on Facebook:

“Foot slipped off the clutch and had to keep going to get out of everyone’s way.”

Well, he was just honest.
He’s getting paid to drive very fast, not to stand around.
So he didn’t want to get money for something he wasn’t supposed to do.

Don’t show this to Mercedes F1 Team. That’s pretty good tactic

this is somewhat smart because he don’t have to block he’s rivals the 2 first laps.
and if “your foot slipped” you better drive ! because you get the penalty no matter what 😂🚗💨

I have never seen Utes races. My question is why do they show F1 here, but not this?
