With an impressively high mileage and a raft of modifications, this MC12 is no garage queen
This Heavily Modified Maserati MC12 Has A Heroic 50,000 Miles On The Clock

With just 50 Maserati MC12s ever built, it’s a fair bet that most have spent the 10 or so years since they were built locked up in a garage somewhere. But don’t worry, we have found one that isn’t a garage queen. Far from it.

This one’s up for sale in Canada via Hemmings, and it has, wait for it - 81,000 kilometres on the clock, or 50,000 miles. Crikey.

Not only that, but it’s modified too: the 6.0-litre V12 has been bored and stroked to 6.3 litres, and it’s packing forged pistons, custom camshafts, a plethora of titanium titanium bits and much more besides. It now kicks out a monstrous 840bhp, and revs to 9300rpm.

The more eagled-eyed among you will have spotted that the body isn’t quite standard either. It’s been festooned with carbonfibre aero pieces, while the aggressive widebody setup is made from MC12 Corsa racing car templates.

I wonder how much fuel it needed to cover that mileage

I wonder how many pairs of underpants the driver went through to cover that mileage.

If you ask me, this is one of the ugliest cars in a long time. Up there with the Multipla..

Sure, probably is fast and expensive. But why was it drawn by a blind person?

I’m just one of those crazy guys that doesn’t think expensive = good looks. I always look past the label or the price.
