Hennessey Has Cooked Up A 405bhp Ford Focus RS
Only a few weeks ago we were looking at a new Ford Focus RS upgrade package from Mountune. However, if you looked at the 370bhp output the package offered in disgust, we have some good news for your power mad self: Hennessey will crank your RS up to 405bhp with its new HPE400 kit.
But, as Billy Mays always liked to tell us, there’s more. In addition to the 60bhp boost, Hennessey’s alterations see torque swelling by 101lb ft to a mad 425lb ft. More than a Ferrari 458 Italia, in case you like pub boasts.
To arrive at these figures, Hennessey uses a recipe involving a high-flow air filter, a new stainless steel exhaust mid pipe, an electronic dump valve and an ECU software fiddle. No word on how fast it’ll make the RS just yet, but expect the 4.7sec 0-62mph time to drop to the low 4s.
Sound good? You’ll need $2995 for the kit on its own, or if you pay $4995 Hennessey will fit the lot and give your car a little time on the company rolling road.
If you want to go further than that, Hennessey does have more tuning parts in the works, including turbo upgrades (500bhp+ RS on the way, perhaps?), flashier intercoolers and fancier wheels.

Three grand for over a 100 torque, and 60 HP isn’t that bad. Less than I would’ve expected.
So would this have negative affects on the long term reliability of the car?
I read bone stock, the drive train was pretty much at it’s limit with the power coming from the engine. So if you were going to make more power, you definitely need to upgrade the drive train components
Only $5k and 17 months as Hennessey takes your Focus’ parts to build other focuses.
Just look at how much the Viper community loves him!

and then doesn’t give you your car back
Shut up and take my money
When I saw the price I saw that it was kind of low for some others and my eyes went to the size of golf balls. For me that’s super expensive.
If you can afford the car, the upgrade isn’t much in comparison.
Hennessy is run by psychos
I love it.
I bet Hennessy would put a 7L TwinTurvo V8 in it if they got the chance
Why can’t they just put in a 5 cilinder turbo for €5.000? That would be nice
Oddly i own a diecast ford focus rs
Its all stock sir,
