Having ditched the old 5.5-litre twin-turbo V8 in favour of AMG’s newer 4.0-litre ‘hot V’ unit, the S63 is faster than ever. As in 612bhp fast. As in 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds fast.
To put the S63’s extraordinary performance stats in context, we have here a video from Autoblog.nl, featuring the car ruthlessly charging from 0-195mph - a little beyond the official 186mph top speed of the ‘AMG Driver’s Package’ equipped models.
It’s made up of two runs stitched together rather than a single one as we’ve seen in previous Autoblog.nl acceleration runs, but it’s still mighty successful in demonstrating just how absurdly fast the car is.

On a serious note, it’s astonishing what modern sedans can achieve. It took a batshit lot of engineering and effort for the Midnight Club (Wangan dudes), to do the same, in a reliable manner. Kudos modern manufacturers (however, there’s nothing as fun as an engineering challenge, and ur car not starting up sometimes XD cough Phil)

Boi my moms car has a 4 litre v8 too and does 0-60 in 3.2 #quattro
I can’t choose between this and Audi S8.
