Here's Your First Look Inside The 2018 Jeep Wrangler

Jeep has released two pictures of the 2018 Wranger's interior ahead of the car's LA Auto Show Debut
Here's Your First Look Inside The 2018 Jeep Wrangler

Just over a week on from showing us the exterior of the 2018 Wrangler for the first time, Jeep is giving the world a sneaky peak at the interior. And my, it’s looking a little more grown up in there, isn’t it?

The inside of this Wrangler Rubicon is all still quite chunky and function-led, but with some big, stylish red inserts on the dash giving a welcome splash of colour. Perhaps we can thank some influence from the Italian bit of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles for that?

Here's Your First Look Inside The 2018 Jeep Wrangler

Between the coloured sections is a much larger infotainment screen than before, and there’s an additional trip computer screen living between the dials. Other pleasing details include ‘Wrangler’ lettering on the dashboard-mounted grab handle, and several red anodised details. We’re guessing those will be colour-coded to match the exterior paintwork.

Want to know/see more? We’ll have all the details when the car makes its full debut at the LA Auto Show on 29 November.

Last time I was this early, the wrangler looked the same as it does now…and that was in 2000…

The interiors look like as if Jeep went into Halfords/Autozone and went like:
“Yep, we’ll have em all!”

A good interior for no doors? Typical Chrysler.

This is what the market wants right now unfortunately. If they didn’t design the Wrangler that was stuffed with all this technology, they wouldn’t be able to compete against some of the more luxury brands.

Looks a lot like my old Jeep Cherokee’s dash…hopefully they make it out of something other than water bottles…

So many buttons.

The new Wrangler may have broke the record for the most buttons in a Jeep.

That steering wheel looks familiar. Oh i know why.

Yeah, it looks absolutely alike! The Jeep steering wheel is round, as is VW’s, and it even features an airbag in the centre. Almost like, you know, every steering wheel since 1990ish.

When will Jeep realize that when it comes to their hardcore fans that will buy Rubicon models, less is more. If Jeep were to sell a back to basics model of the Wrangler with a simple engine and minimal electronic components, they wouldn’t be able to build them fast enough to keep up with the demand.

I wish vehicles had less electronics or were just easier to disable

I don’t like the amount of buttons. My ‘09 Wrangler is more jeep like. so many blank switches, even on a Sahara model.
